About KASNEB Foundation
The KASNEB Foundation operates as a registered Charitable Trust under the Trustees (Perpetual Succession) Act Cap 164 of the laws of Kenya. Its official registration took place on 13 September 2019, with operations launching on Friday, 24 July 2020.
Foundation Establishment
The KASNEB Foundation was initiated by KASNEB with the noble aim of providing support to financially challenged students pursuing KASNEB qualifications, fostering their journey to become proficient business professionals.
Objects and Purpose
- Hold funds and assets in trust to issue bursaries and loans to needy students, facilitating their pursuit of KASNEB qualifications.
- Administer a loan fund in collaboration with reputable lending institutions, financial entities, or authorized bodies, providing financial assistance to students aspiring for KASNEB qualifications.
- Invest in the community as a philanthropic gesture, contributing positively to society.
Scheme Coverage
The scheme comprehensively covers various aspects of KASNEB fees, including registration fees, exam fees, renewal fees, and exemption fees. Additionally, it extends support to cover KASNEB tuition provided at accredited institutions.
KASNEB Loans and Bursaries
Eligibility
Both current KASNEB students and individuals considering pursuing KASNEB qualifications are eligible to apply for the available loans and bursaries.
Qualifications Funded
- Certified Public Accountants (CPA)
- Certified Secretaries (CS)
- Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (CIFA)
- Certified Credit Professionals (CCP)
- Accounting Technicians Diploma (ATD)
- Certificate in Accounting and Management Skills (CAMS)
Loan Details
- The loan attracts an interest rate of 6% per annum.
- Repayment is due three years after the date of completion of studies.
- The maximum repayment period is 60 months.
- Borrowers have the option to choose a lower repayment period.
- An administrative fee of Kshs.500 is charged during disbursement.
How to apply for Kasneb Loan Bursary
- Visit the HELB website www.helb.co.ke to access the HELB Students’ Portal.
- Register, create, and activate your account on the portal (ensure you use your personal mobile number).
- Log in and click on the 'Loan Application' tab located on the left dashboard.
- From the view window, select either:
- KASNEB Foundation Loan and Bursary Application - Tuition fees only
- KASNEB Foundation Loan and Bursary Application – KASNEB fees only
- Read and agree on the Consent for the Collection and Processing of Personal Data.
- Access and fill the loan application form online.
